Growing up oN Chicago’S southside, surrounded by a family rich in music and fashion, inspired him to create an atmosphere at RYG that engages all five senses.
His journey through adulthood began with serving his country in the military, where he discovered the profession of Opticianry. Exposure to diverse cultures and styles during this time ignited a passion that is reflected in RYG’s eclectic eyewear selection. His time in the army’s Optometry department deepened his understanding of the science behind eyecare, ensuring that every pair of glasses offered is both visually stunning and perfectly attuned to the wearer’s VISUAL needs. Once a child who disliked wearing glasses, Eddye now finds joy in transforming his community’s outlook—literally and figuratively—by offering eyewear that goes beyond function, turning a necessary medical accessory into a bold fashion statement.
